My First School, A Cooperative Experience, was established in 1963 by parents in the Floral Park United Methodist Church who saw the need for early childhood education programs. This nondenominational, not-for-profit school introduces children to their first school experience in a warm and nurturing environment. 

 

The curriculum stresses social and emotional development through guided play, arts and crafts, stories, music and movement. Children are encouraged to share, take turns, listen and use language to develop a classroom community in which each child has the opportunity to speak, grow and learn.
